Moonshine & Muscadines

Saturday, Nov. 5
6 – 9 p.m.

When the sun goes down on the festival, you’re invited to an exciting new ticketed ($) evening event for adults that explores South Carolina’s heritage of moonshining and muscadine wine-making.

The Dark Corner Distillery of Greenville, the state’s first legal “moonshine” micro-distillery (which opened in August), will be on hand to offer samples of hand-spirited un-aged corn whiskey.

September Oaks Vineyard of Ridgeland, and Hyman Vineyards of Conway, who both specialize in fine muscadine wines will conduct tastings of their wines. Some wine may be available for sale by the bottle.

Angela Easterling will once again offer her distinctive brand of folk and roots music throughout the evening, providing the perfect backdrop for a great evening of unique libations and delicious nibbles.

Ticket prices are $25 general public, $20 members of the State Museum. To register, call 803-898-4999.
